OUR STORY
Our MISSION at Sherwood Forest of Monarch Valley - A Destination Weddings, Meetings and Event Center is to share our beautiful scenic private ranch as a destination property for your next event. This includes; the grounds, lodge, and pavilion, making it available to those wishing to share their celebrations of life's events; including weddings, or holding meetings, and hosting events; including job fairs, reunions, with colleagues, family and friends.
This original 1900’s homestead location has some of the highest vistas in all of Trempealeau County’s coulee region. This well-preserved, natural setting is the perfect spot to make your meeting or event one-of-a-kind and memorable.

A FOUR SEASON'S EVENTS DESTINATION

PROPERTY, LODGE & PAVILLION
The property is graced with a well-appointed lodge, named the Monarch Valley Whitetails Lodge, remodeled in 2012 from a Midwestern barn originally built in 1922. The process of transforming other buildings on the property as well as the Property itself into exciting venues is ongoing. With a commitment to preserve the original architecture along with finishings using reclaimed material and timber from the ranch property, these venues will complement the property’s rustic environment.
At The Lodge, our guests enjoy the open rustic concept of the fully furnished large great room, including two wood burning fireplaces, a full kitchen, dining area, WiFi, high speed internet, a 60” TV, and central heating and air conditioning with more amenities. The lower level including another full kitchen and gathering/meeting room open to the lower level covered patio and grilling area leading to the open fire pit overlooking a pond, game room and easy pavilion access, and so much more. The entire property is designed with the Hospitality Industry leadership experience that contributed to owner Dan Gallagher’s success, with many other modern comforting amenities inside and out.

The Pavillion is our newest amenity to the property, named the Monarch Valley Whitetails Pavillion. Newly remodeled in 2016 from a midwestern style shed adjacent to the barn originally built in 1922. The process of transforming this buildings on the property was exciting and continues to grow in our request of venues and is ongoing. With a commitment to complement and preserve the original architecture on the property we have finished the Pavillion with finishings using reclaimed material and timber from the ranch property, and these added venues continue to complement the property’s rustic environment.

“Dan Gallagher is a great host, hard working, "tell it as it is" gentleman doing everything to please. The lodge is exactly or better than described, or pictured; it is located on a beautiful setting, the place is immaculate, extremely roomy, the kitchen is very well stocked with utensils, pots, pans, silverware, dishes... everything. Dan even stocked the refrigerator with foodstuffs including his own farm fresh eggs and deer "beer sticks" needed the first or second day if the guest does not care to drive to town immediately for groceries. Dan even invited us to join his friends for a wonderful BBQ the first night.
Dan has built this facility including the surrounding farm area as a whitetail deer hunters paradise. However it is also a bicyclists paradise. Trempealeau County is a bikers playground. The roads are all paved, the traffic is almost non- existent, there are easy and difficult loops all laid out by Trempealeu County available on the web or sent out by the county. The Amish buggies rolling along are an added attraction. The rolling farm country is truly beautiful, the people are friendly, there are several small towns on the various loops to stop for lunch, water, refreshments. This is a get away for bikers for sure. Seeing all the trophy deer and antlers, I am sure that hunters would not be at all disappointed either...”

“What an enchanting property done first class with year round beauty and access. The lodge is a teriffic place for a winter getaway. You will want to book plenty ahead and plan for a wonderful outdoor experience any season of the year.”
